The details of how the yeast screen was carried out. A detailed bar graph for each drug against the panel of 22 strains can be obtained from the Simon Lab home page.
This is a graphical summary of the results obtained for 22 FDA-approved anticancer drugs in the yeast screen. The drugs are grouped by mechanism of action with the alkylating agents followed by antimetabolites, Actinomycin D, topoisomerase II poisons, a Camptothecin derivative (topoisomerase I poison) and Bleomycin, a DNA cutter. The color code indicates the difference in sensitivity of a mutant strain versus that of the wild type strain. Blue indicates less than 0.2 log units (mutant IC50 less than 1.6 times wild type IC50) difference; green -- more than 0.2 log units (1.6 times) difference; yellow -- more than 0.5 log units (3.16 times) difference; orange -- more than 1 log unit (10 times) difference, and red -- more than 1.5 log units (31.6 times) difference.
