The Immunology & Vaccine Development Program of
the Vaccine & Infectious Disease Institute

The McElrath laboratory is dedicated to understanding the human immune response mechanisms in HIV infection and resistance in a way that can be translated into the development of an efficacious HIV vaccine.  The laboratory applies multi-disciplinary and cross-platform approaches to their studies, which encompass the following research areas:

  3. Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD)

  5. Cellular Immunity to HIV-1 in Exposed Seronegatives (ES)
