Graduate and Undergraduate Education Programs

Graduate Programs We participate in three different graduate programs. The Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) and the Biomolecular Structure and Design (BMSD) programs are run jointly by the FHCRC and the University of Washington. In addition, Adrian Ferré-D'Amaré is an affiliate member of the faculty at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Washington. You may be interested in consulting the FHCRC's Graduate Student Training page. The FHCRC awards the Harold M. Weintraub award every year to recognize extraordinary achievement during graduate studies in the biological sciences.

Conjoint 535: RNA Structure and Biological Function This is a graduate-level course organized by Adrian Ferré-D'Amaré. It surveys the wide range of cell-biological roles of RNA, with emphasis on structural principles and structure-function relationships. The five week course features invited lectures by experts on topics ranging from RNA- protein interactions to RNA interference and nonsense-mediated RNA decay.

Undergraduate Programs The FHCRC offers a Summer Intern Program for outstanding undergraduate students between their junior and senior years.
